| the journal I keep things friends-only here for many reasons. First reason, I like to know who is reading. No lurking if you please. Second reason, I want to make sure the people who are reading, the ones who are privy to all of my thoughts from inane and silly to intimate and private, are people who understand where I come from. This is not "just the internet" and I do consider these places the "snugglenets." Some of my best and truest friends can be found on this list and I like to think that everyone who I have friended and who has friended me back is of the same line of thinking. When I lay my head down at night I need to know that I've made the world a better place, even if only by a little bit. Behind every keystroke, every screen, there is a real person. I believe every ljuser should be treated as such, no matter what. If you do not agree with that then I politely ask that you leave this journal alone but if you agree with my take on things, feel free to go to this entry, tell me how you came across my journal/why you want to add me, and go ahead and add. There are very few people I refuse to add. Diversity is welcome. But with diversity must come tolerance and respect because only then can the world progress and be the kind of place I want my daughter to live in someday. |
| the writer Who I am is a friends-only entry that covers every memorable and significant event since 2005 and I continue to update it frequently. Feel free to browse through to get a general idea of who I am. The abridged version? I'm 23 and married with a 3 year old daughter. My husband is USAF and we are currently living in Germany with the military. I've got a degree in business management that is about as useful as the paper it is printed on at the moment since we live overseas so I am a stay at home mom who does little jobs here and there to earn a spare bit of cash. I love to write and someday hope to write as a career rather than a hobby. Painting relaxes me. I read like it's going out of style. I'm a gamer through and through (started playing Mario Brothers on the NES by 3... wasn't good, but I played =D) I love LOTS of movies, TV shows and music. I'm pretty laid back. I consider myself a democrat for the most part but don't vote exclusively democrat-only because of that. I am incredibly open minded (most of the time) and like to surround myself with people who are similar in that regard. Essentially, I don't mind differences as long as the other person doesn't either ;) That's pretty much all I can think of at the moment. If you find my journal and think for some reason I might be more interesting than the next, as I stated above, add me and leave a comment in one of my public entries. While I may not comment, I almost ALWAYS read. I also try to always reply to comments left in my journal, even if it takes me a month or two, lol. I'm not one of those people that you would call a "comment whore" but if we go years without commenting to each other, chances are I'll trim down the friend list fat.
